The Philadelphia Experiment is excited to announce the Seventh Annual PEX Summer Festival July 3-6 at Camp Ramblewood in Darlington, Maryland.

PEX Summer Festival is a multifaceted, multi-dimensional music & art celebration! We will be uniting for three days of amazing music, art, education, and participatory, shared experience.

This year, to celebrate and recognize the participants and lifeblood of the entire PEX community, we will be gathering for an intimate collective experience. For this reason, PEX Summer Festival is by invitation only.

We are honored to have the contributions of such an amazing and multi-talented group of energetic people at our events. YOU have been the reason PEX has been able to do so much with so little. This event is an opportunity for people of all shapes and sizes to come out and show us the beauty of our integrative efforts. We know that every moment of time, every bit of energy, that is contributed will aid in fostering the mission of PEX as we construct experiences that nurture the evolution of the human spirit.

We are sending out a call to YOU, to come and help us make this weekend the best it possibly can be for yourself and the people you love. Giving in and of itself is an act of receiving, and volunteering is an easy and simple access point to feeling the warm embrace of our shared vitality.

We value participation in the creation of this summer festival and encourage you to let us know how you would like to be a part of this event.

Check out the website for applications for workshops, art grants, interactive arts, theme camps, ArtCabin™ Row, volunteering, and more!

Join us to celebrate our little spazmanian devil shOOey's 40th birthday... let's raise a 40 for shorty!

This will be our biggest shindig for 2015 before we bring our annual Hoedown to the playa! A portion of funds raised will also go to the Flux Foundation for their art project at Burning Man this year.

We have special guest DJ and producer extraordinaire, Wes Smith, head honcho of Juice Recordings, who has been blowing up the breaks charts. He's had a big year so far, including a new album release, a boatload of Breakspoll nominations, huge performances at Miami Music Week and remixing for The Crystal Method.

Space Cowboys DJ's and friends will be wrecking the decks in the main room and the loft, with the Unimog supporting Silent Disco outside!

Pre-playa Beats for Lunch edition featuring DJ ShOOey (Space Cowboys) and Matt Haze (More SF)

Beats for Lunch eschews treadmills in favor of tech house and lunch meetings in favor of DJ-dancefloor freedom at new club on the block, Monarch (101 6th St), which boasts the Void sound system recently rated best in the city (SF Weekly; “The Top 10 Best Club Sound Systems in San Francisco”).

Beats for Lunch follows the lead of Swedish forebearer, Lunchbeat, which places the urgency of movement and freedom from the workplace as top provisions for its dedicated dancers.
